White Dresses: The Perfect Summer Essential

One of my favorite things to wear during the summer is dresses, but not just any dress; white dresses instantly give a look chicness. A knock-out white dress is often at the center of a significant fashion moment, just like Michelle Obama wearing Jason Wu during the 2009 Inaugural Ball.

Plus, white dresses are readily available, designers are always coming out with new white dresses, and I have collected a few (I have 12). Some are years old and some more recently purchased, but even the older dresses still look very current and on-trend. This one if from WhoWhatWear line, you can purchase here. It fits beautifully, and it has a lining!

Maxi dress– Here comes the bride…wearing a maxi dress might put people in the mood for a wedding. To combat this, try experimenting with different textures and cut-outs. For instance, try a backless dress or one with cut-outs on the side with an eyelet pattern, and don’t actually wear one to a wedding.

Pro tip: Is your favorite white dress a mini, a way to combat looking questionable is to keep flowy and loose. Pair with flat sandals if you want to dress it up try embellished sandals. Make it casual by matching a pair of white sneakers.

And that is why they are classic and never out of style.
