First let’s decide what a statement earring is, it may mean different things to different people. For some, a statement earring could be a huge hoop earring and for another it could mean beads and flowers.
To me, statement earrings are anything that stand out or start a conversation. Most of the time when I wear my statement earrings the conversation always starts with where I got them from. 95% of the time people are surprised by my answer. What a lot of people might not know is that J Crew has beautiful statement earrings; a majority of my compliments are J. Crew earrings. Most people think of J Crew as a preppy store with quirk. If you look in their jewelry section you will find classic studs and simple earrings, but what you will also see is statement earrings.
As far as statement earrings being “in” it comes and goes, but they are always in for me. My go to accessory is a statement earring.
