Each season, every year, there is always a “new trend,” and it usually goes overboard and over the top. This summer and fall have been no different. This year the standout trend is fashion headbands.

Dolce and Gabbana has always been known for their over the top pieces and designs and their fashion headbands are no different. But, other designer houses have jumped on the bandwagon and have joined in on the headband craze.
I will admit, I am all for it.
Whether it be the hairpins, cultural beads, or these fashion headbands, I am for it because I view my hair as a crown, and I wear it and take care of it proudly.

Below I have picked out some classic headbands and over-the-top headbands.
The first one I would buy is the classic black velvet padded headband.

Prada went a step further and added spikes, and it quickly sold out.

The classic black fashion headband you can get from just about anywhere. I ordered my mine from Topshop along with the burnt orange braided one only to go to Target and see the padded black headband for $8; you can also find beautiful options at H and M, Forever 21, Zara, and even the beauty supply store.
Zara has some of the prettiest decorated headbands, and they will not break the bank.

Asos, has become a quick favorite of mine, they have everything from shoes and purse to jackets and beautiful dresses, for the budget conscious fashionista, and their headband selection is no different.

Topshop has a beautiful collection as well that won’t break the bank, that is where I got this burnt orange braided headband, it was $20, and the hairpins yall have seen in my previous post are from the beauty supply store.

How to Style:
Lets start with the easiest way to style this, a dress. Really with any dress you can wear a headband. You can pair it with your favorite casual dress or a even a cocktail dress. Try this: to your first Christmas party wear a pretty velvet dress and then add a matching padded velvet headband. If you can’t find a matching headband go for black.
T-shirt, your favorite pair of jeans, and leather jacket. This combination would put a different spin on the headband; it says you don’t mind bending fashion rules. A padded headband with studs would go perfectly with this.
A suit. Believe it or not, a suite is the prefect thing to wear with a fashion headband.

With class and grace,
